Only 1 to 1 connection is possible on IRLP unless you connect to a reflector. I would disable the IRLP during the newbie net.
.
Great work with the repeater. I find it very useful when I'm in Rochester (I'm living in Pennsylvania right now.)
.
If there is some way I can help let me know.
Yes, I'm aware. This is the IRLP node I am playing around with in Albany. A number of options have been tossed around via email behind the scenes, and unfortunatly, in public during last Sunday's net.
If IRLP is implemented for the Newbie Net, a reflector will be in place and all the kinks will be worked out beforehand. Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it, Jess. What is your email address?
I don't think IRLP likes mixing echolink and IRLP in any way. Echolink is very friendly to new hams. I must say I much prefer IRLP but I think the purposes of this net are better served by echolink.
We can do it all, Echolink for newbs and folks having trouble getting on RF, IRLP for repeater linking, live streaming of MP3 audio or the iTunes podcast for those that just want to listen and learn.
IRLP Reflector rules depend on the sysop, I'm sure we will find a home that will work with what we're trying to do. It's just a matter of plumbing.

You will have to use a reflector
